Where can I see the Jewellery?
Ruth has her very own boutique style gallery which she opened in March 2014 called Ada in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. For more info go to the info page.
Ruth also takes part in temporary exhibitions around the UK and also stocks a few galleries: The Bircham Gallery Holt, Norfolk & Brassmonkeys Hove, East Sussex, where you can view and purchase selections of her jewellery.
Ruth personally exhibits at design shows where you can meet her in person and view her complete collection, and discuss possible commissions. This information is on the info page of the website. You can also subscribe to the mailing list to receive information and invitations to the exhibitions and shows.
Jewellery
Please note that each product is handmade by Ruth Wood and therefore unique, slight variations are part of the unique character of the work. All stone set rings, pendants and brooches are unique one off pieces, no stone setting can be replicated exactly and stones may vary in clarity and colour. Jewellery that is gold plated is a 5mg thick 22.5ct gold plate over 925 sterling silver.
Ring Sizes
Please use the ring sizing guide to determine your ring size. If you are buying a ring for someone else or unsure of your own ring size you could take an existing ring to a local jeweller to be measured. All ring sizes must be quoted at time of order. It is the customers responsibility to ensure they have ordered the correct size.
Can you exchange a ring?
Rings can be exchanged if they are the wrong size unless a Custom order has been made. It must be returned within 14 days of purchase in its original unworn condition and return postage will be charged.
Can you re-size a ring?
Due to the one off bespoke nature of the making and stone setting process, it is not always possibe to re size a ring, please speak with Ruth for advice. There would be a small charge and if the ring is goldplated and not solid silver or gold, it would need to be re gold plated for an extra £60. If you choose to take the ring to be resized elsewhere it is at the customers own risk.
Packaging
Every piece of jewellery will have its own box, wrapped in ribbon.
Payment Options
Using the online payment method is safe and secure. All payments are made through PayPal and can be made using all major credit cards. If you would rather pay by another method, such as a bank transfer or personal cheque (UK only and made payable to 'Ruth Wood'), please place your order by phone or email. Please note that business hours are 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday.
Pricing
Ruth Wood is not VAT registered and reserves the rights to review her prices at any time.
Currency
The Currency in Ruth's online shop is British Pounds Sterling (GBP).
How do I know that my order has been accepted?
You will receive a system-generated email acknowledging your order and payment followed by a personal email from Ruth specifying estimated delivery times etc. If you think your order has not gone through please contact Ruth.
Cancellation of an Order
Due to the nature of our service orders must be cancelled or amended within 24 hours if you no longer wish to proceed or want to change your purchase.
Repairs & Amendments
Ruth is happy to repair any items purchased from her. Please email or telephone with a description of what is wrong. A repair quote will be presented before work is carried out. If you require a piece of her jewellery to be re-oxidised Ruth will do this free of charge, however postal charges will be payable by the customer.
